8mm "cathedral" shaped.  These are barrel-shaped beads with facets around the middle and patterns at top and bottom.

Colors/description:

Opaque baby blue with a mauve/gold coating on top and bottom.

Hole size:

1mm (estimated).

Defects:

I haven't noticed any significant defects.  However, fire-polished beads always have some imperfect facets.  To read about the fire-polishing process, click here.

Comments:

These beads seem larger than 8mm because of their barrel shape.  They are quite nice.  Please note that the supplier calls these "turquoise".  To me they are clearly blue, but its possible that you may see a little aqua in the color.

Why the price went up:  When I first posted these beads, I was nervous about selling beads that were too expensive, so I gave them a low markup.  Once I started posting other premium beads, however (and discovered that they would sell), I decided that it made no sense to sell these beads (which are very good quality and very attractive) at such a low markup.  So this time the price increase is my fault and not the supplier's.
