Bead
material: |
glass |
|
Country of
origin: |
Czech Republic |
|
Size/shape: |
8mm round or possibly oval beads
with a pattern of small spiral facets. |
|
Colors/description: |
Glass beads (probably clear) with a
dark-gray metallic (i.e., hematite) finish. I don't know if there is actual hematite in the finish, but I
think it's possible since hematite is not very expensive. |
|
Defects: |
I haven't noticed any significant
defects. However, fire-polished beads always have some imperfect facets. To read about the
fire-polishing process, click here. |
|
How photographed: |
At the window in natural daylight. |
|
Comments: |
These are some of the fanciest faceted
beads I have ever carried. The imperfections in the facets (from fire-polishing) seem to be minimal. |
