I haven't noticed any defects, but please note that all fire-polished beads have some imperfect facets.

Comments:

I don't know what lichen (the fungus) looks like, but I'll take the supplier's word for it that this is lichen green.  Please note that in bright light, the beads look lighter than the picture above indicates.
