Defects: |
The beads appear to be in good shape, although there may be an occasional
bubble, depression or bump in the synthetic coating. An occasional
pair of beads will be stuck together; that happens if two beads are
touching when the coating is applied. If you get stuck beads, send
me an email and I'll give you a store credit. |

I actually bought similar beads three years ago but returned them because
I decided not to carry coated beads. Since then I have decided to
leave it up to the customer whether or not to buy them. Ironically,
the beads were much cheaper three years ago, and I'm now kicking myself
for not carrying them. However, this new crop of coated beads looks
better than the earlier batch.
I think these beads look great. The coating has pooled on each
facet, which has the effect of accentuating the edges of the facets.
The coating is fired to harden it. However, near the holes, where
the heat didn't reach as well, the coating may be a little softer than on
the outer part of the bead. |
