I haven't noticed any defects, but please note that fire-polished beads always have some imperfect facets.

Important:  The picture is a close-up, so it doesn't show you that from a distance (even from just a foot) the colors meld together and the beads appear to be brown with colorful highlights.

About the price:  Since I first ordered these beads, the wholesale price went up 70%.  I don't usually re-order beads that go up in price; however, in this case I forgot what I had paid for them before, and the new price didn't seem unreasonable.  The weakness of the dollar is probably responsible.
