The beads have a tendency to change color depending on the kind of light.
The picture above was taken in daylight. At night, under my
artificial lamp, the blue looks much darker and less saturated. In
fact, I take pictures during the day and fix them up at night, and I
originally went to great lengths to adjust the picture to what I was
seeing at night under my desk lamp – and then, the next day, the beads looked
completely different in the sunlight! (2) The term "medium" (as in
"medium sapphire blue") means that the beads are a lighter shade than
"sapphire", but still much darker than "light sapphire", which is a light
blue. |
