Style no.:

F109

Bead material:

Glass

Country of origin:

Czech Republic

Size/shape:

4x6mm and 4x7mm faceted rondels.  A rondel is a round bead which is wider than it is long (or thick).

Colors/description:

Mixed colors with a silver-luster or gold-luster finish.

Defects:

I haven't noticed any significant defects.  However, fire-polished beads always have some imperfect facets.  To read about the fire-polishing process, click here.

Comments:

As of June, 2008, I am using a new batch of the 5x7mm beads from a different supplier.  The new batch looks the same except that it has no green beads and the proportion of amber beads is a little higher.  Also, the new beads are lighter.

Important:  Please note that both pictures above (but especially of the 5x7mm beads) shows the beads to be darker than they are (this was true of the old 5x7mm batch too).  The 4x6mm beads have a luster coating with a hint of silver in it; the 5x7mm beads have a luster coating with a hint of gold in it.
