Country of
origin: |
Czech Republic |
|
Size/shape: |
4mm (from hole to hole) x 7mm (wide)
rondels with facets around the outer edge. A rondel is a round bead which is wider than it is long (or
thick). |
|
Colors/description: |
A mixture of translucent colors with
luster or gold-luster coatings. To me they appear to be: light blue with luster coating, light
amethyst purple with luster coating, bright red with gold-luster coating, green with gold-luster coating, and
possibly brown with gold-luster coating. |
|
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
|
Defects: |
I haven't noticed any significant
defects. However, fire-polished beads always have some imperfect facets. To read about the
fire-polishing process, click here. |
|
How photographed: |
At the window in natural daylight. |
|
Comments: |
The gold-luster
coating is not as opaque as it appears in the picture, and the underlying
colors show through better than the picture indicates. Regarding the
price, I had no choice but to increase it. The supplier has raised
his price. Also, when I bought them before I got them at 40% off;
this time, I got them at only 25% off. (At full price, I couldn't
afford them at all!) |
