|
windows polished at an angle, making the bead look lopsided: |
Mildly lopsided beads:
Included as acceptable (i.e., you pay for the beads)
Severely lopsided beads: Included in your order as freebies
Note: This defect is more common in oval beads than
rectangular beads, so you can expect to get more lopsided beads if you buy ovals. |
|
beads with malformations, such as blunt corners: |
Included in your order as freebies |
|
pits on the window surface: |
Small pits: Included as
acceptable (i.e., you pay for the beads)
Large pits: Included in your order as freebies |
|
scratches: |
Short, shallow scratches:
Included as acceptable (i.e., you pay for the bead)
Long or deep scratches: Included in your order as freebies |
|
other surface defects on polished surfaces: |
Sometimes the windows are polished on two angles (not counted as a defect) or have depressions or shallow
"troughs" between two adjacent colors (not counted as a defect unless the depression is wide or deep).
I judge these defects individually. |
|
spots of picasso coating on the windows: |
Small, even spots: Included as
acceptable (i.e., you pay for the bead)
Large or uneven spots: Included in your order as freebies |
|
windows that have coating overlapping the edges: |
Included in your order as acceptable (i.e., you pay for the bead). (Explanation: Some beads have
the picasso coating added after the windows are polished, and the coating can overlap the edges of
the windows) |
|
picasso coating in the holes, making the holes look black: |
Included as acceptable (i.e., you pay for the beads) |
|
uneven swirls of color in the glass: |
Included as acceptable (i.e., you pay for the beads) |
|
small or large windows: |
Because the beads are individually polished, the size of the windows may vary slightly from one bead to the
next. I don't consider that to be a defect. |
|
thin or thick beads: |
Because the beads are individually polished, the beads may vary in thickness. I don't consider varying
thickness of the beads to
be a defect. |
